Hi
They say "if you give a person the power to feed you, you give them the power to starve you."
No wants to be called cheap or poor, but there is a difference. You see when you're poor you have limited resources and you have not been shown how to increase those resources. Now being cheap is when you have access to many resources but refuse to use them to your advantage,
A business man walks in to a starving village and notices kids tossing these huge pieces of glass. The man picks up one of the pieces of glass and dust it off and realize this wasn't just glass but it was a diamond. He asked the village was there more and the kids showed him a big pile of them.
The man knew the value of the glass rocks and quickly realizes the starving village was not aware of what they had so he offers them some food and a religious book for all the glass rocks. Knowing they would soon need more food. he made a deal with them, if they kept giving him the glass rocks he will keep feeding them and they agreed.
One day the village ran out of the glass rocks and that was the last time the man visited. All the village had to offer was religious books that they could not read. The whole village starved to death.
No one in the village ever asked the kind man what was so valuable about the glass rock nor did they ask how could they use it to buy their own food.
You see that village is your community. The nice kind business man is using his knowledge to feed and starve your village. That's why I try to get you to get the knowledge, so you can feed your own village. So you could mine your own resources and make a positive economic impact on your community.
