Hey, guys! This is Houston with Business Credit
America. That was just a warning shot,
and that warning shot was for entrepreneurs and business owners. One of the things that I’m learning about is
that entrepreneurs are trying to tell other people how to start a
business. And most of these are newbie
entrepreneurs, meaning that they have no idea.
They have no idea what a SIC code is.
They don’t know how to get a EIN number or a tax ID number. They don’t know nothing about Dun &
Bradstreet. They don’t know how to
research the industry they in. They
don’t know how to prepare the financials of the company. None of it!
Now, I am very biased from the
things we teach at BusinessCreditAmerica.com.
Okay? But for anybody that’s
looking to start business, get somebody that actually knows what they’re
doing. If you can’t afford an attorney,
you can go to the SBA, Small Business Administration. You can go to SCORE. You know?
You can go to those local small business areas that teach you the step
by step. We at Business Credit America,
we teach you from the first step, far as technically how to choose the type of
business that’s favorable to you as far as getting funding for your
business.
Now, I was on Facebook and this
lady, I know she has a new business. She
was posting that she was telling another lady how to start a business. Granted, now, I’d been looking at this lady,
and so she doesn’t know anything about SIC codes or tax ID numbers or none of
that. And so I was telling her herself
that you need to learn how to properly register the business. That means that you need to go and get a
fictitious business name for the business first. And I told her that you need to, in reference
to the EIN number, go to IRS.gov and look up the form SS4 to get your EIN
number. Better yet, call them over the
phone and get your EIN number. Okay? That’s the very basic steps of what you
should be doing to start your business. But
for most of these people, they’re steady digging themselves a bigger hole when
it comes to learning how to properly do business. If you want to actually learn step by step,
check out BusinessCreditAmerica.com’s , and they teach you step by step
how to start your own business. But
people just throwing information out there, inaccurate, bad information, and
something that a lot of you should not be doing, especially if you’ve not been
in business at least five or more years.
Now, BusinessCreditAmera, we
have over 20 years’ experience, so we know what we’re doing. And I, myself, I have enough experience to
where I helped my company gross $1.2 million.
So I must know something to gross that kind of income for the
company. But back to the thing I’m
telling you all as new business owners or starting out entrepreneurs. If you truly have not experienced starting
your own business and you’re still at the ground surface of starting your own
business, don’t give business advice that you have no knowledge of because you
don’t have enough experience. Send those
people to SCORE. Send them to Small
Business Administration, somebody that actually has experience in starting a
business. Send them to an attorney that
maybe can instruct them, but for you trying to give them business, I’m shooting
that down because it’s no good, it’s not relevant, and you can actually hurt
them in the long run because of your knowledge and you’re not having the
experience to give them the information.
